Tech companies looking for an urban feel and a buzzing downtown are gravitating to Phoenix’s Warehouse District.
Yesterday civic leaders, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, WebPT and Galvanize announced the upcoming redevelopment of the 515 Grant Street building, a former produce distribution warehouse, that will be turned into a 120,000-square-foot tech campus.

Galvanize, a Denver-based education company, and WebPT, a web-based electronic medical record solution for physical occupational and speech therapists, will be taking lead on the restoration and become neighbors. WebPT is expected to take over close to half of that space with the ability to accommodate 500 employees.

Once completed, the building will have an amphitheater, recording studio, restaurant and coffee shop. The space is expected to be completed by September 2016.

Mayor Stanton praised WebPT for their pioneer efforts and vision to restore the warehouse district, “…they are pioneers and leaders, and the decision to move their company to the Warehouse District has given other companies the confidence to move here.”
“Plans for this building have been in the works for a while, and we’re eager to move forward with creating this incredible space and seeing those plans come to fruition,” said WebPT President and Co-founder Dr. Heidi Jannenga in a statement. “This marks the beginning of another exciting chapter for not only WebPT, but the entire Phoenix tech and business community. We’re also looking forward to sharing the space with Galvanize and Allstate, and possibly adding more businesses to the campus in the future.
