Christa Severns is the practice development director for Fennemore Craig and serves as part of the firm’s government relations practice. She has 20 years of experience in marketing, communications and public affairs which includes serving as director of communications for a multi-billion dollar insurance company focusing on workers’ compensation and workplace safety. Prior to that, Ms. Severns acted as the State of Arizona’s spokesperson and press liaison on Indian gaming issues and was part of the team that negotiated gaming compacts in 2002. She has owned her own public affairs and research firm and managed complex political and public affairs campaigns.

Ms. Severns currently serves as board vice president for the Cancer Treatment Centers of America Western Regional Medical Center in Goodyear. She has also given her time to the community as a member of the Phoenix Arts Commission, on the boards of Arizona Women’s Education and Employment (AWEE) and Homeward Bound, and as chair of Sojourner Center’s capital campaign.

Ms. Severns earned her undergraduate degree in American Studies at Scripps College in Claremont, California. In addition to being a marketing executive and hospital board member, she is a mom, community activist and competitive equestrian.
