Mr. Andrei Cherny, Director

Andrei Cherny, president of ACE Strategies and a senior advisor to Burson-Marsteller, provides policy and strategy advice to Fortune 100 corporations, national foundations and elected officials. A former Assistant Arizona Attorney General, he worked in the Clinton White House as a senior advisor to Vice President Al Gore and was a Senior Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Mr. Cherny is a Senior Fellow for economics and governance at the Center for American Progress and has written about global economic policy, politics, and history for newspapers such as the New York Times, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times. He has appeared as a commentator on news programs including ABC’s Good Morning America and World News Tonight and CBS’s The Early Show, The Colbert Report and The O’Reilly Factor.
As co-founder and president of Democracy, Mr. Cherny created a think tank and widely-read public policy journal offering new ideas on the major issues facing America and the world. He has also authored two books. The most recent is The Candy Bombers: The Untold Story of the Berlin Airlift and America’s Finest Hour.
A native of California, Mr. Cherny earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his law degree from the University of California Berkeley Law School.
